Kojun is an evolving exploration of living in beauty, taking its name from Japanese characters evoking the light inherent within all things.

Beneath the shifting weather of thoughts, desires, and reactions lies our “true home”: our original compassionate heart. This heart is circular and complete. It glows with childlike wonder.

Our daily practices and rituals, grounded in conscious presence, return us to this true home. From here, we meet the world as it actually is, notice the resources available here and now, and act accordingly.

In the heart of Kojun, our thoughts and actions are guided by beauty, humility, and empathy. The aim is conscious participation in the harmonies of life. Contemplating and flowing in resonance with the moment, we flourish.

Loosely meaning “the abode of Kojun,” Kojunbo is a Tokyo atelier founded in 2021. We gather and share artworks, objects, ideas and experiences that support living in beauty.
